President's Office

aRev. Randy Golter


As the District President, Rev. Golter leads the Rocky Mountain District toward implementing the vision of “Igniting Church and Culture for Christ.”  He also works to maintain unity in doctrine, provides ecclesiastical supervision to congregations and rostered workers.  He supports congregations in the call process and provides leadership and direction for the District staff.

Karen Burnsa


Karen is the Administrative Assistant for the District President. She directs record-keeping operations of District including overseeing the Synod professional church workers' roster. Also, she provides clerical support to the congregations, committees, Board of Directors of the district, and other LCMS Districts. In addition, Karen provides assistance in other general areas of District operations and event organization.

Missions

Rev. Dr. Mark Larson


Rev. Dr. Mark Larson is the District Executive for Missions, Evangelism and Stewardship. Mark is instrumental in overseeing church planting efforts, as well as the encouragement and support of new ministries. He also works with the Personal Evangelism Team to foster a culture of personal evangelism in our District. Mark also works with the Stewardship Committee to provide resources and guidance for congregations, through programs such as Consecrated Stewards.

Margery Richter


Margery is the Mission’s Department Administrative Assistant and provides coordination and planning on conferences, meetings and office events. Likewise, she oversees compilation, organization and distribution of District publications such as The Messenger and other communications in addition to direct congregation communications. Margery also provides assistance in general daily District operations and daily congregation contacts.

Congregational Services

Paul Albers


Paul’s ministry emphasis is Lutheran Schools. Additionally he works with the development of strategies and implementation of resources for the District’s Critical Targets of Healthier Ministries and Spiritual Growth. In support of our schools he conducts Board of Education workshops, staff training events, support and development for workers through Beginning Teacher Workshops, Administrator and Spouse Retreats, and Nurturing the Faith gatherings. Through the work of a pool of incredible church worker volunteers, Paul’s Youth Committee creates and sponsors Youth Gatherings to strengthen our youth and their friends.

Monique Hjalmquist


Monique is the Administrative Assistant for Congregational Services. She coordinates projects, organizes local or national meetings and conferences for district schools and congregations in addition to assisting with general District operations. Monique likewise is a partner in assisting and organizing daily duties with the Healthier Ministries team in their functions.

Business & Administration Office

aDoug Ullmann


Doug is the District Executive Administrator and directs all District operations and finances. He has oversight in accounting, human resources, financial reporting, insurance, contractual agreements, property, budget compilation and monitoring. Doug also provides support to congregational Treasurers and school administrators on District related events and operations.

Lutheran Church Extension Fund

aGary Johnson


Gary is a Lutheran Church Extension Fund Vice President for the Rocky Mountain District. He works closely in the areas of LCEF Services and Investments. He enjoys working with all the LCEF volunteer Reps and sharing how LCEF helps provide “Space and Place” for our Church’s Ministry.

aKevin Grein


Kevin is a Lutheran Church Extension Fund Vice President for the Rocky Mountain District. He works closely in the areas of LCEF Loans and Services. Kevin assists churches and schools to provide strategies for funding and structuring their financing to best meets the needs of each congregation’s mission.

aLaura Raben


Laura is the administrative assistant for the Lutheran Church Extension Fund. She assists congregations in the areas of LCEF investments, loans, and services. She also coordinates LCEF's K.I.D.S. Savings Stamp program for the Rocky Mountain District. In addition, Laura is responsible for maintaining the District website.
