Our Mission Statement:
Igniting Church and Culture for Christ!

Ignitng Church and Culture for Christ! is the mission statement for the Rocky Mountain District. This mission statement is portrayed in our logo. It portrays the Three Persons of the Trinity according to the fire, cross, and the dove. God often times used fire for the communication of His holy presence (Genesis 15:17-18; Exodus 3:2; 13:21; 19:18; 2 Corinthians 7:1-3). Jesus refers to His death as a kind of fire (Luke 12:49-50) and thus, the cross is enflamed. The Spirit--who proceeds from the Father and the Son--is sent to the Church (and hence the suggested movement of the Spirit in the logo). The Spirit convicts "the world concerning sin and righteousness and judgement" (John 16:7-8), and that includes the church. Tongues of fire came from heaven at Pentecost (Acts 2) marking the time of the Holy Spirit who moves the Church to spread the fire of God's love through the Word.
