Igniting Church and Culture for Christ!

The Rocky Mountain District Board of Directors, in January, set a goal to raise $2 million in 2010 for international and national missions through Igniting Church and Culture for Christ.  This campaign is our District’s application of Fan into Flame, a special appeal endorsed by the 2004 Synodical Convention in support of the Ablaze! goal of raising $100 million in new money for mission work.

As a District, we have the opportunity to partner with other LC-MS Districts to raise additional funds to bring the gospel of Jesus Christ to many more people who do not yet know Him as Savior. 

The Case Statement describes the various national and international ministries to be supported through Igniting Church and Culture for Christ.  Every congregation in the District will be invited to participate in this fund raising appeal to provide much needed funding for carrying out the mission of our Lord.

Another exciting component of the Igniting Church and Culture for Christ campaign is that 15% of the funds raised by congregations will be returned to them for mission outreach in their local communities.   Our prayer is that congregations will be inspired and encouraged to reach out in new ways to the unsaved in their midst.

I am excited for this opportunity to further our Lord’s work accomplished through His suffering, death, and resurrection.  The story of God’s gift of salvation must be told!
