Bernie Braunschweig Called to Heaven |
|
Bernie was born in Aurelia, Iowa in 1940. He was the youngest of fourteen children. He served our country in the Air Force for four years and during that time he met his wife, Diana. Bernie and Diana were blessed with forty-nine years of marriage, three children, and eight grandchildren.
Bernie served the Rocky Mountain District from 1996 to 2007. During his tenure, Bernie worked with many congregations on building projects and loans. When asked what one of his greatest sastisfactions was, he stated "Working with Christians in all sorts of situations to help resolve problems, difficulties, and doing LCEF loans."
In 2005, LCEF presented Bernie the Art Haake Award for his outstanding leadership and service to the church.

Former LCEF Vice President and District Administrative Executive, Bernie Braunschweig, was called home to Heaven on December 14, 2010. Let us remember with thanksgiving what God has done through His servant Bernie.
